About Activities

Rappelling is a controlled, manual descent down a vertical or steep surface, such as a cliff using a rope and specialized friction gear. Unlike being lowered, the person rappelling controls their own speed and descent directly, making it a critical, self-reliant technique used in rock climbing, caving, canyoning, and mountain rescue.

As with any activity at height, a helmet and harness are essential. Specifically for rappelling, you will need two additional 60 cm slings, a cord, three HMS carabiners, and an ATC device. As an alternative to some materials, a 120 cm sling can be used, or an adjustable lanyard.

Via Cordata is an outdoor adventure activity bridging hiking, rock climbing, and Via Ferrata, where participants navigate rocky, often high-altitude routes secured to a rope guided by a professional. Is based on natural rock features, making it authentic, lower-difficulty climbing experience suitable for beginners.

As with any activity at height, a helmet and harness are essential. Specifically for via cordata, you will need two additional slings, cord and two locking carabiners (optional with autolock). Alternatively, you can use a lanyard or other improvised methods to secure yourself to a dynamic rope.
